Come on guys, use the cbox! It's there for a reason! I need some feedback on my posts.
Q: Do you believe that since a professional sports career is short-lived, you should not go into one?
Yes. I agree with the statement. A professional sports career is not only short-lived, it can ruin one’s financial status for life. Imagine this: You are a professional sports player earning millions of dollars a year from tournaments. You spend money extravagantly, often being in debt until you win your next tournament. One year, during a training session, you fall down and break your leg. The doctors say you will never run again in your life. How will you pay off your debts and hospital bills? Another bad aspect of a professional sports career is its early retirement age. Some careers are ended by injuries, but once an athlete is not in peak physical form, he or she will start losing competitions. What will the athlete do now? He or she has probably devoted the most of his or her life to professional sports, and is probably not as talented as other people in other areas that are crucial for normal jobs.
I told you I would update. This post is mainly going to be about my life currently. I haven’t been very lucky these past two weeks. I lost my thumbdrive, my laptop was restored to factory settings, and now I’m sitting here with a Kleenex sticking out of my right nostril as I type (some of you seem to find this incredibly funny), because I’m sick with a 1 day MC. Although I appreciate the day off to rest and recover, I kind of dread Monday, when I will get 1 weekend’s worth of work. And being absent from school because of an MC reminds me of the school’s policy for pupils that are absent during a test (they are capped at 69%). Ouch. I wonder what the school’s reason for doing that is? Don’t the absent pupils already take a different paper? Anyway, that’s just my opinion about this issue. What do you guys think? Is it unfair or is there a good reason for this?
I remember when I used to read my friend’s blog, commenting “Update Please!”. Well, I guess I understand their reasons now. Maintaining a blog is not an easy task. Nevertheless, I guess I will just have to find a way to squeeze it into my schedule. Ok, so from now on, my target is to update this blog weekly. Really. Really.
Anyway, this blog post is going to be about events that have happened from the last time I updated my blog. Hmm...the Secondary 1 camp was actually quite uneventful. Quite a lot of people actually complained about the price of the camp, despite the fact that it was subsidized. Also, I saw the conditions that the people from other classes had to live in, and all I have to say is wow. I can’t believe that you guys managed to survive the camp.
Another thing to blog about is my specs. Yes, I finally need them. Although my degree is very low, I am too used to perfect vision, so I usually keep them on most of the time. They actually aren’t as irritnating as I thought they would be, and at least I’m not blind without them.
More posts soon!
